Angola: observadores internacionais das eleições vs.garantia de um bom ambiente negócios 

Washington D.C — Com a interdição da Rússia devido às sanções internacionais e apenas quatro meses das eleições presidenciais, o governo angolano pelos vistos parece não estar encorajado em ver os Estados Unidos, Comunidade Económica Europeia, PALOP, SADC e outros países africanos na lista de convidados de observadores internacionais.

Embora seja de iniciativa do governo fazer tal convite, esses países  — tal como a sociedade civil e partidos políticos nacionais —têm a obrigação moral de encorajar o Executivo angolano a cumprir as leis estabelecidas na Constituição em prol de um bom ambiente de negócios e garantia da paz social.

International election observers versus a favorable business environment 

With Russia under international sanctions and only four months to the presidential elections, the Angolan government is not looking forward to the United States, European Economic Community, PALOP, SADC, and other African countries being invited as guests of international observers. 

Ultimately, it should be the government’s initiative to extend an invitation. Still, all of these countries, including their regional institutions, our civil society organizations, and national political parties, should encourage the Angolan executive to uphold the Constitution in the interest of a robust domestic economy and social peace.
