O deplorável relacionamento do partido governante com a comunidade afro-americana: oportunismo político.
Washington D.C – O MPLA só foi reconhecido pelo governo americano, graças em parte, ao empenho político e diplomático de proeminentes líderes afro-americanos, nomeadamente Rev. Jesse L. Jackson, Sr., Andrew Jackson Young Jr. , etc., etc.,etc. O triste é que depois de se sentirem servidos… os camaradas afastaram-se completamente dessa comunidade. Se realmente o partido reinante quisesse ter um bom relacionamento com os afro-americanos, apontem algumas das suas doações às tradicionais universidades dessa comunidade nos Estados Unidos,a presença visível de seus dirigentes ou estudiosos e acadêmicos nas celebrações do Dia da nossa Independência em Luanda ou outras partes do país.
The ruling party’s deplorable relationship with the African-American community: political opportunism.
The MPLA was only recognized by the U.S. government, thanks partly to the political and diplomatic engagement of prominent African-American leaders, namely Rev. Jesse L. Jackson, Sr.,Andrew Jackson Young Jr.,etc. The sad thing is that after feeling served, the comrades have walked away from that community. Suppose the ruling party wanted to have a good relationship with African-Americans. In that case, it should have pointed out some of its donations to the community’s traditional universities in the United States and the visible presence of its leaders, scholars, and academics in the celebrations of our Independence Day in Luanda or other parts of the country.
