Washington D.C —Imagine se Henrique de Carvalho Santos (“Onambwé”),João Rodrigues Lopes (“Ludy Kissassunda “) e tantas  outras figuras públicas da mesma classe não fossem assim tão poderosas — a tal ponto de cometerem crimes mais horrendos e ofensas à nossa integridade física e moral no 27 de Maio de 1977 e nos dias posteriores…e acabarem por ficar impunes.

• Imaginem quantas almas — inocentes e indefesas — poderiam hoje estar em nossa companhia…
• Imaginem o que seria de nós se a essa altura tivéssemos uma sociedade civil proactiva,ousada, ponderada, disciplinada,auto-suficiente,etc.

Resulta que volvidos 44 anos após essa longa tragédia sangrenta — hoje, ainda somos forçados a confrontar os nossos próprios demónios internos —como se tratasse de uma dívida moral a  estrutura repressiva, sob o controlo e direcção do partido no poder…

Tem assim a nossa sociedade civil,principalmente, a  nobre missão de partilhar com a comunidade internacional os constantes e  eventuais obstáculos e riscos de exercer os seus deveres cívicos,direitos de cidadania, humanos , e políticos fundamentais, etc., no nosso território nacional.

Alertá-la sobre os frequentes perigos à nossa convivência e paz social, resultantes das ações malignas e premeditadas conduzidas por altos funcionários públicos.Tem de ser uma iniciativa originária da sociedade civil para as suas congéneres africanas, europeias, americanas,principais organizações internacionais,etc.,alertando-os para os perigos associados ao frequente uso das nossas instituições estatais como palcos de crimes de colarinho branco e delitos graves ligados à criminalidade organizada.

Angola: A Proactive, Bold, Thoughtful and Disciplined Civil Society —an International Cry!

Imagine if Henrique de Carvalho Santos (“Onambwé”), João Rodrigues Lopes (“Ludy Kissassunda “) and so many other public figures of the same class had not too much power — to the point of committing more horrendous crimes and offenses to our physical and moral integrity on May 27, 1977, and in later days and ended up getting away with it.

Imagine how many souls — innocent and defenseless — could be in our company today.

Imagine what would become of us if, at that point, we had a proactive, bold, thoughtful, disciplined, and self-sufficient civil society.

It turns out that 44 years after that long bloody tragedy — today, we are still forced to confront our inner demons — as if it were a moral debt to the repressive structure, under the control and direction of the ruling party.

Thus, above all, our civil society has the noble mission of sharing with the international community the constant and possible obstacles and risks of exercising its civic duties, citizenship, human and fundamental political rights, and in our national territory.

We should make them aware of the constant threats to our socio-economic peace and coexistence, making them aware of malicious and premeditated acts committed by government officials. Therefore, it must be an original civil society initiative for African, European, and American partners, as well as international organizations. While at the same time alerting them to the dangers associated with the frequent use of our state institutions for white-collar crimes and serious offenses linked to organized crime.
